The upcoming Entrepreneurship & Academia-Industry workshop is co-hosted by Office of Research and Knowledge Transfer Services (ORKTS) and Centre for Cardiovascular Genomics & Medicine. In this workshop, our Guest of Honour Ms. Johanna Karanko, Consul-General, Consulate General of Finland in Hong Kong will deliver a speech. Dr. Teemu Suna and Dr. Satu Saksman, co-founders of Nightingale Health will share their success story from university innovation to a global growth company. After the sharing, Professor David Donald from Faculty of Law will deliver a talk on Entrepreneurship and The Law.

*Nightingale Health Ltd was a spin-off from the University of Oulu, Finland, specialising in high-throughput biochemical analysis of body fluid using nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) technology. The company has received  numerous European and international awards, including Finnish Startup of the Year (2018) by Nordic Startup Awards, Health Innovation of the year in Finland (2018), One of the Most Innovative Biotech Companies in Europe (2017), Winner of Massachusetts Institute of Technology’s (MIT) Solve competition held at the United Nations HQ, New York (2017).
